ONLY THE BEST ORCA® BRAND HYPALON |
Our tubes are hand made of Pennel Industries' Orca® brand Hypalon/Neoprene fabric and overlapped a full inch, with taping on the inside. Not only have we gone the extra expense of using the best fabric, but we oversize the tubes for improved seaworthiness, safety’ and a drier, more comfortable ride. Each tube system involves, not just 3 or 4 chambers, but 5 separate air chambers specially constructed to equalize pressure. Each chamber has it’s own separate fill and pressure regulator. The flat Hypalon rubrail offers maximum protection against abrasion while eliminating the possibility of catching against docks and small boat rails.

Some Background Information
Who: McLaughlin Boat Works teamed up with industry leader Annapolis Inflatables/Kiwi.
What: A line of quality RIBS featuring smart styling and construction to yield a no-nonsense platform aimed at coaching and small sailboat support. Smartly designed, simple, dependable, practical, durable, high quality.
Where: The Kiwi factory in China was chosen for their 20+ years of boat construction and reputation for producing the highest quality products. Inflatables, particularly RIBs are their specialty….and it shows!
When: Currently in stock are the 17’ 520s and the 13’7” 420s. HONDA outboards ordered on an as-needed basis, so will be of the newest in production
Why: As the leader in youth sailing services, particularly for the Optimist Class, we always knew providing the PERFECT RIB would be an ancillary and natural fit. When coaches, program leaders, regatta officials and families came to us in quest for a no nonsense package that delivers everything needed, but none of the fluff or expensive extras, we proceeded to fill that niche. The result is something we are truly proud to affix the McLaughlin name. Just as with our Optis, now the “world famous McLaughlin service and customer satisfaction” is extended to RIBS.
